The project known as Abrazo House began in 2006, when we bought 2 acres of land in a tiny village near the north coast of Spain. Our aim was to create a place for learning about ecology and sustainable living, in theory and especially in practice.
Since then we have been working to make that vision a reality, with the help of friends, family, students and volunteers. In the process we have developed and tested a wide range of appropriate technologies, mainly in the area of natural building.
Abrazo House is the result of an applied philosophy that we call ecological design, defined as the art and science of working with nature.
